Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov discussed current holiday bookings, additional charter flights, and regional competition with Bulgaria’s tourism attachés in Poland and Germany, as well as with the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Romania, Radko Vlaykov,
Romania remains one of Bulgaria’s strongest markets, with over 985,000 tourist registrations last season. A series of presentations is now planned in Bucharest, along with meetings with journalists and travel influencers. The appointment of a tourism attaché in Romania is also being considered.
Germany continues to recover as a market. By the end of September, 255 flights are planned from four German airports to Varna and Burgas, with a capacity of around 46,000 tourists.
Positive signals are also coming from Poland, where bookings for 2026 have increased by 61%.
