Prime
Minister Rumen Radev expects the US to request an extension of the
stay of US Air Force plane at the Vasil Levski Airport in Sofia.
The Prime Minister stated this at the beginning of the government
meeting, BTA reported.
“The
planes are there with the permission of the Zhelyazkov Cabinet with a
stay period until the end of May,” the Prime Minister recalled.
Radev
announced that on May 20 he had a telephone conversation with US
Defense Secretary Peter Hegseth, and then with US President Donald
Trump. According to him, in the conversation with the US President,
he raised the issue of abolishing visas for Bulgarian citizens
visiting the US. “I expect this issue to be considered urgently,”
the Prime Minister also said.
