A
day of open doors under the project "3D Data for Cultural
Heritage through Three-Dimensional, Automated, Scientifically Based
Digitization" will be held on May 21 at the Institute of
Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at BAS
(IEFSEM-BAS). The event will start at 3:00 p.m. in the "Winter
Garden" hall, IEFSEM announced on Facebook.
The
event will feature a live demonstration of the work of sensor systems
for capturing movement, through which experts from the institute
digitize dance in 3D format and create dance avatars of up to seven
people, as well as sensor gloves that allow the same type of
digitization for musicians.
It
is planned to present the results of the experiments conducted with
these systems with video materials and digital images.
The
project is aimed at creating modern technologies for documenting and
preserving intangible cultural heritage through scientifically based
digitization.
