The landslide near Pamporovo is still active

At a hearing in the National Assembly, Bulgaria’s Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Shishkov said that the landslide on the Smolyan–Pamporovo road remains active. According to Minister Shishkov, the cause is excessive soil saturation.

The National Construction Control Directorate is currently carrying out an inspection in Smolyan, said Ivan Shishkov, assuring MPs that the necessary measures will be taken to restore the road as quickly as possible.
