National Sheep Breeders' Festival starts near Saints Peter and Paul Monastery

Animals of various breeds, horse demonstrations and farm competitions are planned for the National Sheep Breeders' Festival in Bulgaria. This year, the fair will take place from May 22 to 24 near the Peter and Paul Monastery (Petropavlovski Monastery), the organizers of the National Sheep and Goat Breeding Association have announced.

The forum is organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and with the assistance of the municipalities of Veliko Tarnovo, Lyaskovets and Gorna Oryahovitsa. Visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with a rich variety of agricultural and attractive breeds of animals - sheep, goats, cattle, horses, ponies, donkeys and Bulgarian shepherd dogs.
For the first time this year, in addition to traditional Bulgarian cattle breeds, popular world breeds such as Aberdeen Angus, Hereford, Galloway, Highland and American Brown will be presented.
