Bulgarian parliamentary delegation visits Rome

A Bulgarian parliamentary delegation, led by the President of the National Assembly Mihaela Dotsova, is in Rome on a two-day visit on the occasion of May 24 - Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slavonic Literature. An audience with Pope Leo XIV is scheduled for tomorrow in the Vatican, BTA has reported.

Within the framework of the visit Mihaela Dotsova has met with the President of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana. The two discussed the possibilities for strengthening the parliamentary dialogue between the two countries and the exchange of good practices. After the conversation, Dotsova said that she had invited Fontana to Bulgaria and pointed out the good relations between Sofia and Rome in the spheres of economy, defence, culture and sports. Tomorrow, the delegation will have an audience with Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican.
