Unemployment
in Bulgaria fell to 3.2% in the first quarter of 2026 and decreased
by 0.7% on an annual basis, according to the National Statistical
Institute. According to Eurostat, unemployment in the EU is 5.9%, and
in the eurozone - 6.2%.
The
country is among the countries where the problem is no longer the

work in the service sector, and nearly ¾ in the private sector.
Unemployment among university graduates is 1.1%, among people with
secondary education - 3.2%, and among those with primary education or
lower - 13.5%. Unemployment among young people aged 15-29 is 7.2%.
