Bulgarians are optimistic about successful hosting of Eurovision 2027

Success inspires, obliges and infects. This is the most concise way to read the public attitudes towards the Bulgarian hosting of Eurovision in 2027, which the country received after the success of Dara and her song “Banagaranga”.

According to a survey by “Alpha Research”, 59% of Bulgarians believe that Bulgaria and BNT will cope with the organization of Eurovision 2027. Such a strong positive charge is rarely registered in society, sociologists report. 36% have doubts, but also expect a successful organization. 59% choose Sofia as the host city of the next Eurovision. After the capital comes Burgas, followed by Plovdiv and Varna. 72% of those surveyed believe that holding the song contest will bring benefits to the overall image of the country, 63 percent expect benefits for tourism.
