Bulgaria and Azerbaijan seek faster progress on the Green Energy Corridor

Bulgaria and Azerbaijan are preparing a roadmap aimed at accelerating work on the Green Energy Corridor project between the two countries, Deputy Energy Minister Kiril Temelkov said after a four-party meeting involving Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia in Istanbul, the Energy Ministry said.
The meeting took place within the framework of the INRES 2026 forum.

The second Natural Resources Summit, held under the motto 'Energy and Natural Resources at the Core of a Changing World', took place under the patronage of Turkey’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in attendance.
Earlier this month, Bulgarian President Iliana Iotova met Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, where expanding energy cooperation between the two countries was a main topic of discussion, BTA recalled.
