Plamen Denchev first gained recognition as a pianist in the band Funky Miracle, and has since become one of the most sought-after instrumentalists on the Bulgarian pop scene, collaborating with some of the most prominent artists. He is also known to television audiences, as well as for his original singles, which he manages to release alongside his other projects. After a several-year break, Plamen Denchev is now returning with his latest song titled “Sleda” (Trace):
“I started in an alternative pop-rock direction. I want to create things that are interesting and engaging to me at the moment — music built mainly on riffs, because I’m very curious to explore this territory, i.e. how keyboard instruments can be integrated into more guitar-driven music. Right now I feel like making music that involves experimentation. I think that’s important for every artist — not to follow a ready-made formula, but simply to do what expresses their true self most authentically”, said Plamen Denchev.

Regarding the “trace” he wants to leave with the song, Plamen Denchev says:
“The main theme of the song is personal development, self-awareness, and what a person does with their life and themselves in order to have some kind of impact on others. Because we all know that if something needs to change for the better, it starts with yourself.”
With “Trace”, Plamen Denchev is beginning a more intensive period of creating original music. He is already working on a follow-up release expected by the end of the year, after which he is considering producing a solo album.
