Nine-year-old Bulgarian singer Elizabeth Vizio won a gold cup, gold medal and gold crown at the Apollo Games international music competition in Stavros, near Thessaloniki in Greece. Children from Greece, Britain, Malta, Lithuania, Ukraine, Romania, Norway and Bulgaria took part in the contest, according to her father, composer George Vizio.

Vizio won first place in the “World Hit” and “Musical/Song from a Film” categories with a Whitney Houston song that the jury described as “impossible” to perform. The title is her third international victory this year, following wins in Croatia in March and Italy in April.

The contestants celebrated by singing Bangaranga by Dara, while Elizabeth performed the song in Greek.
