Cooler weather on the way, but temperatures remain pleasantly warm

Bulgaria will see slightly cooler temperatures on Friday, although conditions across most of the country will remain mild and typically spring-like.

Morning temperatures will range from 9°C to 16°C, with around 9°C expected in Sofia. Clouds will linger over eastern parts of the country before noon, bringing occasional light showers in some areas. By the afternoon, skies are expected to clear gradually, giving way to mostly sunny weather nationwide. Moderate northwesterly winds will continue throughout the day. Daytime temperatures will reach between 22°C and 27°C, remaining somewhat lower in north-eastern Bulgaria. Sofia is expected to reach highs of around 23°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, cloudy skies and isolated showers are forecast in the morning, but conditions will steadily improve from the north. Temperatures will range from 20°C to 23°C, while sea temperatures will remain at 19°C to 20°C.

Mountain regions in eastern Bulgaria will experience more cloud cover and scattered rain before conditions brighten later in the day. Western mountain areas are expected to remain mostly sunny. Strong northwesterly winds are forecast at higher elevations, with temperatures reaching around 14°C at 1,200 metres and 7°C at 2,000 metres.

The weather is expected to be mostly sunny on Saturday, with temperatures rising again during the day.
