Peevski: Kardzhali mayor case is a major scandal

Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) leader Delyan Peevski called the case involving Kardzhali mayor and DPS deputy chairman Erol Myumyun “a major scandal and political pressure.” Earlier today, Erol Myumyun was taken in for police questioning as part of an investigation into alleged abuse of office. Delyan Peevski arrived unexpectedly in Kardzhali to express his and DPS’s support, reported BNR’s correspondent in Kardzhali Valya Apostolova.

“They are trying to intimidate all mayors, all people, all Muslims – we will not allow it. We reject fear – no to fear, it will not happen. I hope Prime Minister Radev responds immediately and understands what has happened, because his minister has crossed all boundaries”, Peevski commented.
