Bulgaria launches multinational military exercise STRIKE BACK 26

Bulgaria’s Land Forces will hold the multinational live-fire tactical exercise STRIKE BACK 26 between May 29 and June 11 at the Koren military training ground in southern Bulgaria. 

The exercise will focus on defensive operations by a reinforced mechanised battalion, according to the Bulgarian military. More than 1,500 troops and 420 units of combat and support equipment are taking part. Participants include Italian units from NATO’s multinational battlegroup stationed in Bulgaria, as well as military formations from Turkey and Romania.
