Franco Nero receives award at the Golden Linden International Film Festival

Italian actor Franco Nero received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the thirteenth edition of the Golden Linden International Film Festival for New European Cinema 2026 in Stara Zagora. The award was presented to the actor on May 30 at the opening ceremony of the forum, BTA has reported.

Those present in the hall of the State Opera - Stara Zagora had the opportunity to watch a short film with excerpts from his most iconic roles in cinema. After receiving the Golden Linden Statuette, the legendary actor said that he has been involved in cinema for more than 60 years. He added that cinema would continue to exist as long as people continue to dream.
