Her name is Kristina Manasieva, but she is better known as KristinSax—a singer, songwriter, and above all, an instrumentalist. After a successful career abroad, KristinSax returned to Bulgaria from Bahrain during the COVID-19 pandemic and began creating her own original songs.
As her stage name suggests, she plays the saxophone, but also the flute—her “first love,” through which she received her classical music education. The flute is also featured in her latest single, “Pink Glasses”, which serves as a natural highlight of her debut album of the same name.

The album took more than a year to complete in the studio. KristinSax wrote both the music and lyrics, while collaborating with various musicians on the arrangements, including Grammy-nominated pianist Bill Vassilev. At the heart of the album ''Pink Glasses'' is the sound of the saxophone and flute—the most distinctive feature of her music.
As one of the few female saxophonists in Bulgaria, KristinSax admits that it is very difficult to reach a broad audience with instrumental music. That is why she is now presenting 11 songs, the result of a strong creative period.
Speaking specifically about the title track, “Pink Glasses”, KristinSax says that it is highly symbolic and suits her perfectly. It is no coincidence that the album’s motto expresses KristinSax’s philosophy: “Looking at life through pink glasses is not an illusion. It is a choice.”
