The competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy is of key importance for the development of the country. This was what Prime Minister Rumen Radev said at a meeting in the Council of Ministers with representatives of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Industrial Association, the government's press service has reported.
At the meeting, the
business community highlighted the obstacles facing the
energy-intensive industry and the opportunities for overcoming them
at the national and European level. The employers said that 80% of
the energy-intensive companies in the country work for export and
called for measures to guarantee their competitiveness. The
possibilities of attracting more funds from European programs and
from the Electricity System Security Fund have been examined.
