Conference on Science and Innovation for an Integrated Danube Region in Ruse

“Danube Bridges - Science and Innovation for an Integrated Danube Region” is the title of a scientific conference taking place today and tomorrow in Ruse. The event is part of the official calendar of Bulgaria’s Presidency of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region 2026 and brings together science, innovation, and business.

The Strategy connects 14 countries along the Danube River and covers a region inhabited by 115 million people, or one fifth of the EU’s population.

At the conference, leading experts, representatives of academia and business will discuss technology transfer, modern scientific research and innovations applicable to industry and infrastructure, the green transition, biodiversity, cultural heritage, and sustainable development for an integrated and competitive Danube region.

The event is organized by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse, and the Regional Academic Centre - Ruse.
