The Bulgarian rose has bloomed once again in Vancouver's largest and most iconic park, the Bulgarian Consulate General in Toronto said.
Growing on Canada's Pacific coast, the flower has become a symbol of Bulgaria's traditions and of the ties between the Bulgarian community in Canada and their homeland. The consulate thanked the Bulgarian-Canadian Society of British Columbia for caring for the rose bush, as well as Milena Sarneva and Stefan Sarnev, who donated it.
