Within the framework of the 2026 Rose Festival in Kazanlak, the town will once again become the stage for an International Folklore Festival, organized annually by the municipality.
The festival will take place over three consecutive days - June 5, 6, and 7 - and will bring together participants from Bulgaria and abroad in a celebration of traditions, friendship, and cultural exchange, BNR Stara Zagora reports.
The event aims to encourage young generations’ interest in folklore and to create a space for encounters between different cultures. Through music, songs, and dances, participants will present the richness of their traditions, customs, and festive rituals.
The rich festival program will include folklore groups from Kazanlak’s sister cities: Nagykanizsa (Hungary), Veria (Greece), Didymoteicho (Greece), and Kočani (Republic of North Macedonia).
