Traffic at Bulgaria's border checkpoints with Türkiye, Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania is flowing normally on the last working day of the week, reported the Border Police.

Repair works on the Danube Bridge at the Ruse–Giurgiu border crossing will continue until the end of June. Traffic is being directed through a single lane. Following a temporary suspension on June 4, crossing in both directions has resumed for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and buses. Truck traffic is expected to resume later in the afternoon.

Over the past 24 hours, 17 serious road accidents were recorded across the country, leaving 26 people injured, according to the Traffic Police.

A total of 33 fires were extinguished across the country in the last 24 hours, nine of them resulting in property damage.
