Summer tourist season at the Black Sea coast starts

On a stage under the stars on the Central Beach of Sozopol, Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov and the Mayor of the resort town, Tihomir Yanakiev, gave the symbolic start to the Summer 2026 season. The tourist season will be similar to last year's, Ilin Dimitrov said. Bulgaria is a safe and peaceful destination and I am confident that we will have a good summer despite the delay at the beginning, he pointed out.

"Unfortunately, this year the season is slightly late, as you can see, but I hope we will be able to catch up - part of the decline is due to cancelled flights by German tour operators,” Dimitrov said. The absence of German tourists will be felt at the beginning and end of the season, but not in its main part, the minister also said, Radio Burgas reports.
