summit of the countries of the South-East European Cooperation
Process (SEECP)
is held
in Sofia today. The forum, hosted by President Iliana Iotova,
is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the initiative's
establishment. It will bring together leaders and representatives of
the countries of the region at the National Palace of Culture.
The
participants are expected to discuss a joint declaration and the
prospects for strengthening regional cooperation. The meeting also
marks the final stage of the Bulgarian presidency of the format,
which the country took over from Albania in 2025. Within the
framework of the forum, Bulgaria will hand over the rotating
presidency to Romania.
