A summit of the countries of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) is held in Sofia today. The forum, hosted by President Iliana Iotova, is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the initiative's establishment. It will bring together leaders and representatives of the countries of the region at the National Palace of Culture.

The participants are expected to discuss a joint declaration and the prospects for strengthening regional cooperation. The meeting also marks the final stage of the Bulgarian presidency of the format, which the country took over from Albania in 2025. Within the framework of the forum, Bulgaria will hand over the rotating presidency to Romania.
