The eighth edition of the Bulgarian Book Festival, an annual gathering of publishers, writers and readers, will take place in Brussels on June 13 and 14. The event is organised by the Bulgarian Cultural Association in Belgium and ICU Publishing House, with the support of the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgium, Bulgaria's Permanent Representation to the European Union and the country's Permanent Delegation to NATO.
Among the guests this year is Vasil Popov, who will present Mamnik, a work that has challenged conventional genre boundaries in Bulgarian literature, and his latest novel, Lehusa.
Writer, linguist and diplomat Demetra Duleva, winner of the Peroto Award for debut fiction, will introduce her new novel, Versailles Avenue.
Nikolay Terziyski, one of the most acclaimed Bulgarian writers of his generation and a recipient of the Hristo G. Danov Award, will discuss his latest book, Rodinia.
Dimitar Rikov, editor-in-chief of SoftPress Publishing Bulgaria and author of numerous children's books, will lead young children on an adventure inspired by Forest Kindergarten.

Novelist Evgeni Cherepov, whose works are noted for their psychological depth and social themes, will present his novel Out of Range.
Historical fiction writer Kostadina Kostova will introduce two of her books, The Third Kingdom and Trifena.
Traveller, writer and translator Krum Krumov will present his contribution to the short story collection The Running Man.
Bulgarian readers' clubs from across Europe are also expected to attend the festival, reflecting growing interest in contemporary Bulgarian literature and the increasing activity of Bulgarian literary communities abroad.
