Border Police has received equipment worth nearly 10.5 million euros under four European projects. At a ceremony at the Specialized Unit "Air Surveillance", Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev stated that in recent years a significant improvement has been achieved in the technical provision of the Bulgarian border, especially the one with Türkiye, which is external to the EU. He pointed out that the investments are the result of Bulgaria's efforts and the support of European partners.

The new equipment includes 125 border control vehicles, 70 all-terrain vehicles, 18 vehicles for screening activities and 88 thermal imaging cameras. "Bulgarian borders have become a good example for Europe. Today, we can be calm as leaders that we have provided our employees with good working conditions," said the head of Border Police, Chief Commissioner Anton Zlatanov.
