Asian Festival to be held in Sofia this weekend

The sixth edition of the Asian Festival in Sofia will take place on June 13 and 14 in South Park II, the State Institute for Culture at the Minister of Foreign Affairs announced. The State Institute for Culture is an institutional partner of the event, which in 2026 is held under the motto “Together in Friendship and Harmony.”

The two-day programme features a variety of cultural events, including concerts, dance and theatre performances, and literary presentations. Each participating country will have an information stand offering tourist materials, as well as workshops showcasing traditional Asian crafts.

Among the participants in the festival are the embassies in Bulgaria of Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Republic of Korea, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Vietnam, as well as the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
