Ukraine does not receive gratuitous military aid from Bulgaria, but it has mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of defence and expects it to continue. This was stated by Heorhii Tykhyi, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, BTA reports, citing Ukrinform. According to Tykhyi, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expects this cooperation to continue, as it is also beneficial for Bulgarian companies, which can increase their production and generate income through this partnership.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov did not give a clear answer to the relevant parliamentary committee whether Bulgaria would continue to participate in the PURL mechanism for military support to Ukraine through the purchase of American weapons, BGNES has reported.
