Colors of Kyustendil Festival brings together international graffiti artists

For the second consecutive year, graffiti artists will decorate the retaining wall along the banks of the Banshtitsa River in Kyustendil. The Colors of Kyustendil International Festival will take place from today through Sunday to demonstrate that graffiti is an art form rather than an act of vandalism, said the municipal Department of Culture.

The festival will feature renowned graffiti artists from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Italy and Switzerland, including Swiss artists Cayo and Boogie and the internationally recognized Bulgarian duo Arsek & Erase.

Amateur artists will also have the opportunity to participate. Anyone interested in urban culture will be able to paint in a large open art zone. The festival program also includes creative workshops for children, a digital art competition, music performances, and opportunities for artists and the public to meet and interact.
