The full control of raw milk imports at the border, in which samples are taken for laboratory analysis and only after the results are available the trucks can enter the country, will continue until June 19. After this date, the checks will be based on a risk analysis. This was what Minister of Agriculture Plamen Abrovski told BNT.

The tightened control over the import of each shipment of raw and powdered milk into the country was introduced by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency on June 9. According to Minister Abrovski, 10 days of the measure are enough to see the problems and change the cargo tracking system. According to Abrovski, the import of huge quantities of raw milk into the country was a myth. For 5 days just 16 trucks have entered the country.
