Bulgaria and Romania establish joint Black Sea Maritime Security Hub

Ahead of the regular monthly meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg, Bulgaria and Romania presented information on the joint concept for the establishment of a Black Sea Maritime Security Hub. The hub is part of the implementation of the new EU Strategic Approach for the Black Sea Region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova pointed out the importance of ensuring European funding for the hub within the next financial framework. The hub will be co-hosted by Bulgaria and Romania in Varna and Constanța. Its establishment will contribute to strengthening security and resilience in the Black Sea region within the framework of the new EU Strategic Approach, the statement reads.
