Traffic of passenger cars entering Bulgaria is intense at Kalotina border crossing with Serbia. Traffic is normal at all other border crossings with Türkiye, Greece, North Macedonia and Romania, the Border Police has reported. At the “Ruse – Giurgiu” crossing, major repairs are being carried out on the Bulgarian section of the bridge over the Danube River until the end of June and the traffic is being redirected to one lane.

The repairs that are currently being carried out on the “Trakia” and “Hemus” highways will be completed by the end of June and the trip to the Black Sea coast in the summer will be safer and more comfortable. This was what Eng. Alexander Todorov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Road Infrastructure Agency said at a working meeting with the tourism industry. To facilitate traffic until the completion of the repairs on "Trakia", the movement of heavy trucks will be restricted every Friday from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM and on Sunday from 3:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
