Sanctions against Russia that affect negatively the Bulgarian economy will not be allowed. Prime Minister Rumen Radev told journalists in Sofia, hours before leaving for the EU summit, where the 21st package of measures of the community to deter Russian aggression in Ukraine will be discussed. “You will understand today how Bulgaria will vote when I discuss all the specifics with my colleagues from the EU”, Radev added, quoted by BTA.
"This
war has long gone beyond the trenches and spread to the economy,
energy, sports, culture, and now it is starting to encompass
religion. I think the time for crusades is over,” Radev said. “What
message are we giving when we extend the sanctions to religion?” the prime minister asked.
