A
grand performance of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" in the
City Park of Skopje concluded the large-scale international project,
which for the first time united the Sofia Philharmonic, the
Philharmonic of North Macedonia and the Thessaloniki State Symphony
Orchestra on one stage, BGNES reports.
After
the concerts in Sofia and Thessaloniki, the finale of the project
took place in Skopje in front of an audience of more than 20,000
people. The event was broadcast live on the National Television MRT
and became one of the most significant cultural events of the summer
in the region.
Over
200 musicians from Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Greece performed
united under the baton of maestro Nayden Todorov, initiator and
conductor of the project. The performance also featured the choir of
the North Macedonian Opera and Ballet, the children's choir "Piccolo"
and the choir of the Music School of Thessaloniki. Soloists of the
evening were soprano Ana Durlovski, tenor Nicholas Spanos and
baritone Ivo Yordanov.
