Sunshine ahead, with afternoon showers in the West and Northeast

On Tuesday, the lowest temperatures will range between 15°C and 20°, around 15°C in Sofia. The weather will be mostly sunny during the day. After noon, rain clouds will develop over Western Bulgaria, beginning in the morning over the northwestern regions. Many areas there will see brief, locally intense showers accompanied by thunderstorms. Hail is also possible. Winds will be light — west-northwesterly in Western Bulgaria and mainly easterly in Eastern Bulgaria. Maximum temperatures will range between 28°C and 33°C, around 29°C in the capital city.

Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will be sunny. Winds will be light from the east-southeast, becoming moderate in the afternoon. Daytime highs will be between 25°C and 28°C. The seawater temperature is 21°C-23°C. Sea state 2 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, the eastern ranges will remain mostly sunny. In the western massifs, rain clouds will develop, bringing brief but locally heavy showers and thunderstorms in many places. Hail is also possible. Winds will be light to moderate, mainly from the northwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be around 23°C, at 2,000 metres around 15°C.

On Wednesday, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop over the western half of the country and later over the northeastern regions, bringing brief, locally intense showers and thunderstorms in many places. Hail is also expected. Sunny weather will prevail in southeastern Bulgaria. Winds will be light, mainly from the north. Slightly cooler air will move in, and maximum temperatures will range between 25°C and 30°C.

On Thursday, the morning will be sunny, but around and after noon cumulus clouds will develop, bringing scattered showers and possible thunderstorms in some areas.
