The minimum wage in Bulgaria will not be frozen, Prime Minister Rumen Radev has promised.

When discussions on the 2027 budget begin in August at a meeting of the tripartite social partners, a new mechanism for determining the minimum wage for 2027 will be examined, he told reporters.

His comment comes in response to media claims suggesting that the minimum wage would be frozen at €620 until 2028.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Galyab Donev announced that tomorrow, June 24, the government’s budget calculations for the current year will be officially presented.
