Traffic at the Bulgarian borders is normal

Traffic is normal at all border crossings in the country on the morning of June 24, the Border Police announced. At the Ruse-Giurgiu border crossing with Romania, the major repair of the bridge over the Danube River is near completion. Until the end of the month, the crossing will be regulated to one lane in the Bulgarian section of the facility.

Over the past 24 hours, 32 significant road accidents have occurred in the country, in which one person died and 43 people were injured, the Traffic Police reported. Since the beginning of the month, 540 serious accidents have occurred with 34 deaths and 687 injured people. Since the beginning of the year, 205 people died on the roads, which is 29 people more than in the same period in 2025.
