The festival "Hello, Space! | Bulgaria Calling!" will hold its sixth edition today, continuing its tradition of bringing Bulgarian children and young people together with astronauts, world-renowned scientists, engineers and explorers.

At Sofia Tech Park, participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with Timothy Kopra, a NASA astronaut with an 18-year career who has spent more than 244 days in space, completed three spacewalks, and served as commander of the International Space Station during Expedition 47. They will learn more about astronauts' daily lives, life aboard the International Space Station, and the challenges facing humanity in its pursuit of the Moon, Mars, and even more distant destinations.

One of the most exciting parts of the programme will be the question-and-answer session with the young participants. Winners of a special competition will have the chance to personally question Timothy Kopra, who currently serves as Director of Human Spaceflight at Voyager Technologies, where he works on the future of humanity's presence in space.

The meeting with Timothy Kopra is part of the mission of "Hello, Space! | Bulgaria Calling!" to make science accessible, inspiring and exciting for children and young people, encouraging the next generation to dream boldly about the Moon, Mars and beyond, while pursuing paths toward a Nobel Prize and other achievements in STEM fields.

The festival is being held with the support of the Sofia Municipality.
