The National Assembly has observed a minute of silence in memory of two 9-year-old children who died in a serious road accident on the way to a football tournament at the resort complex of Albena, as well as for all victims of road incidents over the past 24 hours.

According to MPs, institutions must not remain indifferent to such tragedies and should work both on more effective prevention and on a swift and adequate response by law enforcement and judicial authorities.
The proposal was made at the beginning of the parliamentary session by MP Velislav Velichkov of the We Continue the Change.
“We cannot remain indifferent to this. We must also be aware that to some extent it depends on us to change this situation, both in terms of prevention and in terms of the quick and adequate response of the judicial authorities. So that when such things happen, there is justice and there is punishment for those who kill on the road,” Velichkov said.
