A hot end to the week with temperatures up to 36°C

On Saturday, the lowest temperatures will range between 17°C and 23°C, around 17°C in Sofia. The weather will be sunny throughout the day. Around midday and in the afternoon, cumulus clouds will develop, mainly over eastern Bulgaria and the mountainous regions, bringing scattered showers in some places. Winds will be light, becoming moderate in eastern Bulgaria, from the east-northeast. Maximum temperatures will range between 31°C and 36°C, around 31°C in the capital city. The weather along the Black Sea coast will be mostly sunny. Around midday and in the afternoon, mainly along the northern coast, cumulus clouds will develop and there will be showers in some areas. Winds will be light, becoming moderate after noon, from the east-northeast. Daytime highs will be between 27°C and 30°C. The seawater temperature is 24°C-25°C. Sea state 1-2 on the Beaufort scale. In the mountains, the weather will be sunny. Around midday and in the afternoon, cumulus clouds will develop, with isolated showers possible. Winds will be moderate from the northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be around 25°C, at 2,000 metres around 17°C. On Sunday, it will remain hot during the day. After midday, cumulus clouds will develop over the mountainous areas, but the chance of rain will be low.
