Traffic is heavy for outbound freight vehicles at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing with Türkiye, the Border Police said.

Traffic remains normal at all other border checkpoints with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania. From 10:00 a.m. on 30 June, two-way traffic will resume on the Danube Bridge at the Ruse–Giurgiu border crossing with Romania.

From 30 June to 1 July, between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., the movement of heavy goods vehicles weighing more than 20 tonnes will be restricted on the following roads: Ruse–Razgrad–Shumen; Ruse–Veliko Tarnovo; Pleven–Lovech–Gabrovo–Veliko Tarnovo; the road leading to the Pass of the Republic; Vidin–Vratsa; sections of the Sub-Balkan Road near Kalofer and the Petolachkata interchange; Gabrovo–Kazanlak and the Shipka Pass; and Silistra–Shumen. The restrictions are due to air temperatures exceeding 35°C. Heavy truck traffic will also be halted on many sections of the Hemus and Trakia motorways.

One person died and 42 were injured in 30 serious road accidents across the country over the past 24 hours, Traffic Police reported. Since the beginning of the year, 220 people have died and 3,740 have been injured in 3,018 road accidents.
