Short but intense summer rain showers expected

On Wednesday, the lowest temperatures will be between 18 and 22°C. For Sofia, it is expected to be 18°C. During the day on July 1, the atmosphere over the country will become unstable. Before noon, there will be rainfall with thunderstorms in the Danube Plain, while over the other regions it will be mostly sunny. In the afternoon, in many places in the western, central and northeastern regions of the country, there will be short rainfall with thunderstorms. It will be mostly sunny in the south-eastern regions of Bulgaria. There will be a weak to moderate easterly wind. Daily temperatures will slightly decrease and will reach 30 to 35°C. In the capital, it will be around 30°C.

It will be mostly sunny along the Black Sea coast. There will be temporary increases in cloudiness over the northern part of the Black Sea coast. There will be moderate easterly wind. The highest temperatures will reach 29 to 32°C. Sea water temperature is 25 - 26°C.

In the mountains, there will be more significant cloudiness in the afternoon hours, when in many places there will be short rain showers and thunderstorms. The maximum temperature at 1200 m above sea level will be about 25°C; at 2000 m it will be about 17°C.
