At the start of the peak summer tourist season, there are indications that occupancy rates at tourist accommodation facilities in Bulgaria are lower than expected, while an increasing number of Bulgarians are opting to spend their holidays in Greece. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov during the first meeting of the Council for Tourism Reforms, held at the Council of Ministers, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported.
According to Hristov, this is a trend that requires thorough analysis, including an assessment of pricing, the quality of services offered, and the competitiveness of Bulgaria's tourism product.
