Truck violations in overtaking lane now being recorded

From July 1, the National Toll Administration will record violations involving heavy goods vehicles driving in the overtaking lane, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said. RIA noted that the new system has been developed based on the existing enforcement model for driving in emergency lanes and will apply in sections where road sign B25 restricts heavy vehicle traffic and where toll control points are located.

When a heavy goods vehicle is detected using the overtaking lane, the system will generate evidence records, which will be forwarded to the Ministry of Interior for further action.
