Heavy traffic at Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint, two victims on the road

There is heavy traffic at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint with Türkiye at the exit for trucks, the Border Police reports. On the borders with Romania, Greece, the Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia, traffic is normal at all border crossings.

98 fires have been extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours. There have been no injuries, the Main Directorate Fire Safety and Civil Protection reports. The fire that broke out yesterday at a waste treatment plant in Sofia continues to be extinguished. There is no air pollution.

Two people died and 22 have been injured in 21 accidents over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior reported. Since the beginning of the year, 221 people died in road accidents and 3,781 have been injured.
