Over 50 people set off on water trip along Maritsa River

More than 50 participants are taking part in the 13th edition of the National Water Trip along the Maritsa River, “Lower Maritsa 2026”, which will be held from July 3 to 5, BTA reported.

The event is organized by the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad, “Maritsa - 2008” community center in the village of Raynovo and the Water Tourism Club in Haskovo. Clubs from Sofia, Plovdiv, Rousse and Kardzhali have submitted group entries, along with individual participants from various locations across the country.

On July 3, participants will cover 20 km to the village of Raynovo; on July 4, 27 km to the town of Harmanli; and on July 5, 23 km to the town of Lyubimets. The main goal of the event is to promote water tourism and introduce participants to the natural landmarks along the Maritsa River.
