Rain eases, but mild summer temperatures persist

On Saturday, the lowest temperatures will range between 16°C and 21°C, around 16°C in Sofia. During the night, cumulonimbus clouds will develop, bringing short-lived showers in many areas, mainly in Central and Eastern Bulgaria. In some parts of North Central Bulgaria, the rainfall will be temporarily intense and significant in volume, accompanied by thunderstorms. There are also conditions for hail.

Western Bulgaria will see mostly sunny weather. By the end of the day, cloud cover will decrease across almost the entire country. A light to moderate northwesterly wind will blow, while in Eastern Bulgaria it will come from the north, bringing slightly cooler air. Daytime temperatures will drop further, ranging from 25°C to 33°C in the Upper Thracian Plain and Southwestern Bulgaria. In the capital city, daytime highs will be around 26°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, there will be significant cloud cover and rainfall, which will gradually stop later in the day. A moderate north-northwesterly wind will blow, shifting in the afternoon to east-northeast. Maximum temperatures will range between 25°C and 27°C. The seawater temperature is 24–26°C. Sea state 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, cumulus clouds will develop, with precipitation occurring only in parts of the central and eastern mountain areas. There will be a moderate to strong northwesterly wind. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 19°C, at 2,000 meters around 13°C.

On Sunday morning, low cloud cover or reduced visibility is expected in some plains and valleys. In the afternoon, cloud cover will temporarily increase over eastern and mountainous regions, but only isolated places will see short-term showers. A light to moderate northwesterly wind will blow, turning north-northeasterly in eastern areas. Maximum temperatures will range between 25°C and 30°C.
