Traffic was heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo and Kalotina border checkpoints on Monday morning, according to the Bulgarian Border Police.

At Kapitan Andreevo, heavy goods vehicle traffic was particularly intense in the direction of Türkiye.

At the Kalotina crossing on the border with Serbia, traffic was heavy for passenger cars entering Bulgaria from Europe.

Border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia, and Romania were operating under normal traffic conditions.

Meanwhile, the Road Infrastructure Agency has announced that from 6 to 10 July, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., traffic on the Dupnitsa-Blagoevgrad road will be diverted in stages into the lane not under maintenance due to road marking works and roadside vegetation clearance.

On the road between the Gyueshevo border checkpoint and the boundary with Pernik Province (from km 0 to km 42), traffic in both directions will be restricted in stages between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. because of roadside vegetation removal. Vehicles will pass alternately through a single lane.
