Bulgarian pop singer Robi has released a new album, unveiled a new single and announced a national tour.
His new single, 'Blue Heart', continues his exploration of traditional Bulgarian folk music. He co-wrote the music with Denis Popstoev, who also arranged the track, and collaborated with his wife, Plamena, on the lyrics. She has recently taken up the tapan, a traditional Bulgarian drum, adding an authentic folk sound to the recording.
Originally intended as an album track rather than a single, 'Blue Heart' was released separately after attracting strong public interest. The song is taken from Robi's new album, 'Sleda' (Trace), released on 18 June, and will feature in his upcoming national tour. The tour will visit Varna, Sliven, Kazanlak, Burgas and Plovdiv before concluding with a sold-out concert at Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture on 13 October.
