Heavy inbound passenger vehicle traffic reported at Kalotina border crossing

Heavy outbound truck traffic is reported at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing toward Türkiye. Traffic is also heavy at the Kalotina border crossing for inbound passenger vehicles arriving from Serbia. Traffic is normal at all other border checkpoints with Greece, North Macedonia and Romania, the Border Police reported.

22 people were injured in 19 serious road accidents across the country over the past 24 hours, Traffic Police reported. Since the beginning of July, there have been 122 serious road accidents, with four fatalities and 147 injuries. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 3,154 serious road accidents, with 222 fatalities and 3,907 injuries. Compared with the same period in 2025, the number of road fatalities has increased by 23.
