On Wednesday, minimum temperatures will range between 12°C and 20°C, with 12°C expected in Sofia. The morning will be mostly sunny. Around and after noon, a cold atmospheric front moving from northwest to southeast will trigger the development of rain clouds, bringing short-lived showers and thunderstorms to many parts of the country. The most intense weather is expected in Eastern Bulgaria and the mountainous areas of Southern Bulgaria, where hail is also possible. Winds will be west-northwesterly, light to moderate, becoming strong and gusty over the Danubian Plain, the western part of the Upper Thracian Plain, and along the Struma Valley.
Daytime temperatures will range between 29°C and 34°C, reaching around 30°C in Sofia.
Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will be mostly sunny in the morning. Cumulus clouds will develop during the afternoon, bringing brief but locally intense showers and thunderstorms to many areas. Winds will be light to moderate from the south, with maximum air temperatures between 29°C and 31°C. Sea water temperatures will range from 24°C to 25°C, while sea conditions will remain slight, with waves of 2 to 3 on the Beaufort scale.
In the mountains, the morning will also be mostly sunny. During the afternoon, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will form, bringing short but locally heavy rain showers and thunderstorms to many areas. Winds will be moderate to strong from the northwest. Maximum temperatures will reach around 21°C at 1,200 metres and 15°C at 2,000 metres.
Thursday will be predominantly sunny. During the afternoon, cumulus clouds will develop, mainly over the mountainous regions and Eastern Bulgaria, where isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected. Winds will remain moderate from the northwest.
